Mens Ministry
Men's Ministry

Grace Baptist Church desires to come alongside men to challenge and encourage them to be faithful in their God-given role and calling.  We believe that God has created and called men to be leaders in their homes and in the church.  Yet, far too often, and for various reasons, men have failed to be faithful in these callings.

The Men's Ministry at Grace Baptist church has been established so that men might encourage one another to "act like men" (1 Cor. 16:13); that is to boldly and joyfully:

  • Love our wives.
  • Raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
  • Work diligently and unto the Lord in order to provide for our families.
  • Lead and serve the church in various capacities.
  • Evangelize the lost.
  • Disciple new believers.
  • Lead lives of integrity and sexual purity.
  • Honor and care for the elderly.
  • and much, much more!

Men's Breakfasts

While much of this mutual encouragement and challenging happens informally, we regularly meet from 7-8 am on the second Saturday morning of each month for a Men's Breakfast.  After eating together, we discuss a chapter from the excellent book Leading One Another: Church Leadership by Bobbie Jamieson.  We finish promptly at 8am, knowing that we each have a full day ahead of us.  Check out our calendar of events and join us for an upcoming Men's Breakfast.   For more information, please contact the coordinator, James Anderson.

Preaching 101

Following our monthly Men's Breakfast, Pastor Dave meets with a group of men who are interested in learning more about the theory and practice of expositional preaching and teaching.  Participants will learn the why's and how's of discovering the point of a particular passage across the various genres of Scripture, as well as how to consolidate and crystalize information for the purpose of communication.  There is reading and homework outside of the class time, which runs from 8:00 - 9:00 am.
